CALL 911

If  you or someone you love has the sudden onset of severe chest discomfort, shortness of breath, or lightheadedness, it could be a heart attack.

             DO:
CALL 911

                 DO Not:

Deny it and think the symptoms will         go away on their own.

Drive yourself or have someone else           drive you to the nearest local hospital.

If you are at high risk for having a heart attack, you must be evaluated by your health care professional so that you can take measures to avoid it.

You must be aware of what emergency medical services exist in your area and what hospital they will take you to in case of an emergency.

You must find out which hospitals in your area are able to provide emergency cardiac care 24/7. In the event of a heart attack, you must insist on being taken there.

If you think you are having a heart attack, immediately call 911. Let highly trained emergency medical services personnel take you to a specialized medical center where experts can provide the gold standard of care.

Let's all work together to save the world from heart attacks.
